Chuck Porter, Jr.

Owner & Sr. Investment Advisor

Chuck has been with Canon Capital since 2006 and was admitted to the company as a unitholder (owner) in 2018. He is a Senior Investment Advisor specializing in serving high-net-worth individuals and families. Chuck graduated from Widener University where he majored in Economics with an emphasis in Personal Financial Service. He has a Certificate in Financial Management for the Family Office from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management and he is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. Chuck is very involved in the community.  He coaches youth football, baseball, and basketball. He is a committee member for the Penn Foundation autumn event, President of the Indian Valley Chamber Community Leadership Institute Alumni Association, a member of the North Penn United Way Emerging Leadership Society, and a team member on the Calvary Church Count Team. Chuck lives in Harleysville with his wife and their four sons. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports, playing on the Calvary Church softball team, biking, doing yard work, spending time at the beach or around the fire pit with family, and savoring life with four sons.

Dr. Peter Roland

Owner & Managing Director of Wealth Management & Family Office Services

Peter is a Managing Director of Canon Capital and a Founding Member of Canon Capital in 1987.  He has over 30 years of diverse experience solving financial related problems and managing outcomes for a broad spectrum of clients.  Peter holds the following designations:  CPA Certified Public Accountant, PFS Personal Financial Specialist, AIFA® Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst, CFP Certified Financial Planner, ChFC Chartered Financial Consultant, CMA Certified Management Accountant.  Peter earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College, a Master of Science in Taxation from Drexel University, and a doctorate Ph.D. degree in Business Administration with the concentration in Financial Management from Northcentral University.  He has completed the Center for Fiduciary Studies Certification program offered through the Joseph Katz School of Business, University of Pittsburgh.  Peter has earned the certificate in Financial Management of the Family Office offered through the Graziadio School of Business of Pepperdine University.  He has been serving as an adjunct instructor of Finance and Accounting in the graduate MBA Master of Business Administration program at DeSales University for over 25 years.  Peter enjoys spending time with his family and dogs.

Wendy Rosenberger


In 2012 Wendy joined Canon Capital as our Receptionist, bringing over 10 years of administrative experience in customer service, collections, estimating, and accounts payable, working in small companies and corporate settings. She majored in business studies and has attended Lansdale School of Business.  Wendy is a member of SOFT (Support Organization for Trisomy 18) where she helps counsel parents of children with special needs.  When possible, Wendy also volunteers with the United Way Days of Caring. She resides in Lansdale and has two children. In her spare time, Wendy likes to tinker in all things creative and spending time with her family and friends.

Sherri Schaeffer


Sherri started with Canon Capital in October, 1999 and concentrates the majority of her efforts in auditing and not-for-profit entities.  Sherri received her BS in Accounting from Millersville University and has over 25 years of experience in public accounting.  Her experience includes non-profit auditing as well as work in the private sector.  She serves on the board of Sisters U and enjoys reading, traveling, watching movies and spending time with her family and dogs.  She has a special fondness for individuals with disabilities like her son Tyler, and this has led to her continued interest in non-profit entities and their missions.  Sherri resides in Harleysville with her husband and two sons.

Roger Small

Sr. Investment Advisor

Roger started with Canon Capital in 1995.  He was in the U.S. Navy as an engineering officer of an LST.  Following his time in the U.S. Navy, he held the positions of industrial sales engineer and financial counselor.  He earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer and his MBA from Harvard.  Roger is an accredited investment fiduciary.  He attends Grace Community Church.  Roger lives in Souderton with his wife, and has three daughters, 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  Roger likes to read and hike in his spare time.

J. George Sweeney

Owner & Comptroller

George is the Comptroller of Canon Capital and a Founding Member of Canon Capital in 1987.  He received his Associates in Science in 1972 from Montgomery County Community College and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1974 from LaSalle College.  George has been a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 1980.  George is a member of the Board of Directors and the Secretary for the Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA, an Advisory Board member of the Upper Perkiomen Valley YMCA, a Charter Member of the Upper Perkiomen Valley YMCA, and a Finance Committee member of the Upper Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce.  He resides in Perkiomenville with his wife and has two children.  He enjoys running and swimming for fitness and spending time with his family.

Brent Thompson

Owner & Manager

Brent joined Canon Capital in 1998 and was admitted to the company as a unitholder (owner) in 2018. He is responsible for providing management advisory services, tax and general business planning, tax preparation, and financial statement preparation and review services for numerous businesses and their owners. Brent also assists his fellow firm directors with scheduling, staff development, and business development. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Temple University.  In addition to holding his CPA designation he also holds the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. Brent is a member of the AICPA and the Institute of CMA’s and is a former instructor of business development courses at Montgomery County Community College. He has also served on the Economic Restructuring Committee for the Souderton-Telford downtown revitalization efforts and the Stewardship Committee for Keystone Fellowship. He currently serves as the treasurer of the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce. Brent resides in Souderton with his wife and three children. He enjoys boating, water-skiing, and working on home improvement projects.

Patricia Webb

Owner & Director of Wealth Management Services

Patty has been with Canon Capital since 1997.  She is a Senior Investment Advisor and Director of Wealth Management Services.  Before her time at Canon Capital, she worked as an office manager for a small engineering firm and also owned and operated a dance school.  Her industry designations consist of the Certified 401(k) Professional (C(k)P) Program from The Retirement Advisor University (TRAU) in collaboration with UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education, a Certificate in Fiduciary Studies (AIF) from the University of Pittsburgh, the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) Program from the College for Financial Planning.  She has passed the Series 7 and Series 66 exams administered by the NASD.  She is a member of United States Masters Swimming (USMS).  Patty lives in Royersford with her husband and has one child and two grandchildren.  Her interests include travel, swimming, music, and spending time with her family.

Brenden Wenhold

Senior Accountant

Brenden started with Canon Capital in September of 2015.  He is a graduate of Delaware Valley University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, Accounting.  He is a United States Marine Corps veteran of 8 years, is a member of the PICPA, and volunteers for the United Way.  He lives with his wife and three children in Quakertown.  In his spare time he enjoys cars, volleyball, and DIY projects.

Michael Witter

Owner & Managing Director of Canon Capital Certified Public Accountants

Mike is a Managing Director of Canon Capital and a Founding Member of Canon Capital in 1987.  With over 37 years experience, he specializes in tax consulting, business strategic planning, and personal financial planning.  Mike works tirelessly to help clients proactively plan for their financial future, while maximizing their best opportunities to achieve their financial goals.  Mike graduated from Messiah College with his Bachelor’s degree in business and earned his Masters of Science degree in Taxation from Widener University.  He achieved the Personal Financial Specialist certification and is a member of the AICPA, including the Personal Financial Planning Section, and the PICPA.  Mike resides in Souderton with his wife and has four children and nine grandchildren.  He enjoys hiking, travel, sports, and time with family.
