Georgia Myers

Shareholder & Director

Georgia joined Canon Capital in 1993. Her experience as an auditor at three CPA firms over 30 years afforded her exposure to many different not-for-profit, government, and for-profit entities, such as private schools, senior centers, mission and church organizations, civic organizations, social services agencies, retirement communities, pension plans, local government units, local government pension plans, real estate developers, real estate agencies, and manufacturing companies. Georgia received her BS in Accounting from Messiah College, holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation and is a member of the PICPA and the AICPA. She serves in a volunteer capacity with Bridge of Hope National, Souderton Brethren in Christ Church and the Big Red Band Boosters. Georgia resides in Souderton with her husband and two sons. She enjoys reading, playing the flute, and traveling.

Moriah Randolph

Staff Accountant

Moriah started working with our accounting team on a seasonal basis in February 2021, joining us full-time in May 2021. Moriah holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Accounting, which she earned from Montgomery County Community College. Most recently, she has become a Certified ProAdvisor for QuickBooks Online (QBO).  Moriah lives in Telford where she spends her free time baking, crafting, and playing volleyball.

Dr. Peter Roland

Shareholder & Managing Director of Wealth Management & Family Office Services

Peter is a Managing Director of Canon Capital and a Founding Member of Canon Capital in 1987.  He has over 30 years of diverse experience solving financial-related problems and managing outcomes for a broad spectrum of clients.  Peter holds the following designations:  CPA Certified Public Accountant, PFS Personal Financial Specialist, AIFA® Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst, CFP Certified Financial Planner, ChFC Chartered Financial Consultant, and CMA Certified Management Accountant.  Peter earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College, a Master of Science in Taxation from Drexel University, and a doctorate Ph.D. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Management from Northcentral University.  He has completed the Center for Fiduciary Studies Certification program offered through the Joseph Katz School of Business, University of Pittsburgh.  Peter has earned the certificate in Financial Management of the Family Office offered through the Graziadio School of Business of Pepperdine University.  He has been serving as an adjunct instructor of Finance and Accounting in the graduate MBA Master of Business Administration program at DeSales University for over 25 years.  Peter enjoys spending time with his family and dogs.

Andrew Shapowal

Investment Advisor & Digital Asset Specialist

Andrew Shapowal, CPA/PFS, AIF® joined Canon Capital in 2021. He is a Certified Public Accountant whose previous work in public accounting has given him extensive knowledge in the area of taxation. Andrew studied at Messiah College where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He is passionate about investing and reading about financial markets and is adept at navigating complex scenarios with ease. Andrew holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®). He also holds the Certificate in Blockchain and Digital Assets. Andrew and his wife, Megan, live in Dublin and attend Renew Bible Church of Perkasie. Since 2008, Andrew has been training in the martial arts of Shotokan Karate, Jujitsu, and Aikijujitsu and holds a first-degree black belt in Shotokan Karate. He and his family love spending time on the water, especially when riding their Sea-Doo personal watercraft.

Amanda Spengler

Staff Accountant

Amanda first joined Canon Capital in January 2013 and we are pleased to welcome her back to our team as of August 2022. Amanda’s previous career milestones include working as  a Financial Controller for African Bible Colleges in Malawi, Africa. She received her BA in Business from Covenant College.  Amanda resides in Palm with her husband and four children.  In her free time, Amanda enjoys volleyball, biking, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Roger Small

Investment Committee Counsel

Roger started with Canon Capital in 1995.  He was in the U.S. Navy as an engineering officer of an LST.  Following his time in the U.S. Navy, he held the positions of industrial sales engineer and financial counselor.  He earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer and his MBA from Harvard.  Roger is an accredited investment fiduciary.  He attends Grace Community Church.  Roger lives in Souderton with his wife, and has three daughters, 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  Roger likes to read and hike in his spare time.

Cherie Strozzieri

Senior Accountant

Cherie began working at Canon Capital in 2023, bringing over 30 years of experience in corporate, non-profit, and private-sector accounting services. She has specialized in outsourced accounting services and automated accounting integrations for more than 10 years. Cherie earned her BS in Business Administration from Albright College and is currently working to obtain her license as a Certified Accounting Paraprofessional. She is also a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor. When not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and volunteering time to various philanthropic endeavors.

Andrew Stein

Investment Advisor

Andrew came to Canon Capital in November 2023, bringing financial services industry expertise that includes managing and advising clients regarding their investments as well as planning, ranging from asset growth to retirement income planning. Andrew earned a BS in Economics with a minor in Financial Accounting from Moravian University. Mentoring is important to Andrew. He served on the board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes – Northeast Pennsylvania Region and he continues to serve by helping facilitate local sports camps. When Andrew isn’t enjoying his hobbies of golfing, cycling, and skiing you can find him walking his Goldendoodle, Maggie, around the Phoenixville neighborhood.

J. George Sweeney

Shareholder & Director

George is a Shareholder and Director and is also a Founding Member of Canon Capital.  He received his Associates in Science in 1972 from Montgomery County Community College and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1974 from LaSalle College.  George has been a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 1980.  George is a member of the Board of Directors and the Secretary for the Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA, an Advisory Board member of the Upper Perkiomen Valley YMCA, a Charter Member of the Upper Perkiomen Valley YMCA, and a Finance Committee member of the Upper Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce.  He resides in Perkiomenville with his wife and has two children.  He enjoys running and swimming for fitness and spending time with his family.

Brent Thompson

Shareholder & Director

Brent joined Canon Capital in 1998 and was admitted to the company as a shareholder in 2018. He is responsible for providing management advisory services, tax and general business planning, tax preparation, and financial statement preparation and review services for numerous businesses and their owners. Brent also assists his fellow firm directors with scheduling, staff development, and business development. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Temple University.  In addition to holding his CPA designation he also holds the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. Brent is a member of the AICPA and the Institute of CMA’s and is a former instructor of business development courses at Montgomery County Community College. He has also served on the Economic Restructuring Committee for the Souderton-Telford downtown revitalization efforts and the Stewardship Committee for Keystone Fellowship. Brent resides in Souderton with his wife and three children. He enjoys boating, water-skiing, and working on home improvement projects.
