Lori E. Benner

Senior Accountant

Lori began working at Canon Capital in September 2022, bringing over 30 years of experience in corporate and partnership tax preparation and financial statement review. Lori earned her BS in Business Administration from Kutztown University and is a member of PSTAP (Pennsylvania Society of Tax and Accounting Professionals). A Perkasie resident, she relaxes by paddleboarding, doing yoga, baking, gardening, and hiking. Lori also enjoys spending time with her son, Collin, and her two mini Goldendoodles, Reilly and Chewie.

Rebecca Alderfer

Administrative Assistant

Becky joined Canon Capital in 2002. Prior to Canon Capital, she worked for an auto dealership and computer software company. She attended Montgomery County Community College for business. She resides in Tylersport with her husband and they have three children and nine grandchildren. Becky is active in her church and enjoys making crafts and baking. She also loves to take her vacations in Duck, North Carolina.

Bradley Barnhorst

Investment Committee Counsel

Brad joined Canon Capital in 2016 and serves as Investment Committee Counsel.  He is a recognized expert in investment portfolio risk and volatility reduction, with numerous published works in both scholarly and professional journals.   In addition to his role with Canon Capital, he serves as the Chair of the Finance Major and CFP Program Director for both the undergraduate and graduate divisions at DeSales University.  He has prior experience as an Associate Director for Bear, Stearns & Co. specializing in structured equity products and derivatives geared to mitigating investment risk. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.  He has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Computer Science from Harvard University as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Corporate Finance and Investment Management from Penn State University.

Marissa Illingworth

Chief Compliance Officer

Marissa joined Canon Capital Wealth Management in December 2018. She brings a background in financial services and technology, having served previously as a client and advisor support professional at an investment, insurance, and financial services firm. In addition to earning a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Business Administration from Millersville University of Pennsylvania and an Associate of Science degree in Liberal Studies from Montgomery County Community College, Marissa also holds various security and insurance licenses. A native of the Harleysville and Souderton region, she now lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with her husband, William. Marissa is an avid arts and culture fan and regularly attends performances at the Fulton Theater and sets the goal of seeing a Broadway show at least once each year. Marissa’s work with us is based out of The Candy Factory, a co-working office space in historic downtown Lancaster.

Daniel Hagen

Staff Accountant

Daniel joined Canon Capital as a Staff Accountant in November 2022. A graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Business and Marketing, he began his accounting career in tax preparation and is pursuing his CPA. Outside of work, Daniel leads worship at Renew Community Church and spends his free time playing guitar, practicing martial arts, and snowboarding. The kitchen of his Quakertown home is the place to be thanks to the scent of the sourdough bread he bakes from scratch.

Vicki Barnes

Director of Payroll Services

Vicki joined Canon Capital in August, 1999 and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Payroll Services. Vicki has an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Montgomery County Community College and has earned the Certified Payroll Professional designation. She is a member of the national American Payroll Association as well the Lehigh Valley Chapter, where she served as Secretary from 2006-2013.  Vicki resides in Sassamansville with her husband and son and enjoys crafts, reading, and kayaking in her free time.

John Castro

Tech Support

John joined Canon Capital Technologies in October 2022. A graduate of Chestnut Hill College and Souderton Area High School, John lives in Telford. When he’s not getting our clients’ tech up and running you can find him surfing and snowboarding.

 

 

Lori Canfield

Office Manager

Lori started with Canon Capital in January, 2000.  Lori is the Office Manager and oversees the support staff and tax assembly process.  She is instrumental in developing and implementing processes that create efficiencies for Canon Capital staff and clients.  Lori is also a notary public.  She attended Katharine Gibbs School of Business and has over 30 years of administrative and executive assistant experience.  Lori and her husband live in Telford and have two children.  In her spare time she enjoys crafts, reading, kayaking and spending time with her family.

Linda Covel

Payroll Processor/Tax Preparer

Linda joined Canon Capital in 2005 as a Payroll Processor.  Prior to 2005, she worked at Canon Capital part-time as part of our tax season support team.  She has her Jr. Accounting Certification from Lansdale School of Business and has many years of experience doing payroll, bookkeeping, and tax returns for various accounting firms.  Linda is a member of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the American Payroll Association.  She is a member of Christ Reformed Church where she teaches VBS, serves on the Peacemakers team, and the Auditing Committee.  Linda’s passion is Operation Christmas Child and she serves as a year-round volunteer.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering for missions’ trips, doing German paper cutting, and shopping for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. Linda resides in Harleysville with her husband and has three sons.

 

Craig Covington

Shareholder & Technical Consultant

Craig serves as a Technical Consultant on the Canon Capital Technologies team, guiding business clients through all aspects of Managed IT Services, Network Security, Data Backup & Recovery, and Help Desk Support. He was admitted to the company as a shareholder in 2019 and leads sales and marketing for the Technologies business unit. He has a business degree from Delaware Valley College and an MBA in Marketing from LaSalle University.  Prior to joining Canon Capital in 1998, Craig worked as a general manager of a car wash, as a controller of a heavy equipment company, and as a senior technician for a major home improvement company.  Craig is a Microsoft Certified Professional.  Craig also serves as executive director of Healthy Neighbors International, a non-profit medical missions organization serving in Nicaragua. Craig resides in Doylestown with his wife and has four children. He enjoys spending time with his family.
