Kent Gerhart

Shareholder & Director of Technologies

Kent has over 35 years of experience in the computer systems and services field as a computer programmer, analyst, operator, and consultant. Before joining Canon Capital as the Director of Technologies in November 2000, he was the owner of KenTech Information Systems, Inc. from 1991-2000. Kent maintains authorizations with technology companies such as Microsoft, Datto, Inc., Altaro Backup, Hewlett Packard, Calyptix Security, and Axis Communications. His education in finance and computer systems comes from Montgomery County Community College and Ursinus College. Kent serves on the board of directors for DCP Theatre in Telford, is a United Way volunteer, and is House Church Shepherd with Renew Community Church in Lansdale. Kent and his wife, Cindy, reside in Telford and they have three grown daughters. Kent’s hobbies range from music (guitar, piano, worship leading), acting in community theatre, and ballroom dancing to doing “handyman” projects.

Elizabeth González

Administrative Assistant

Elizabeth joined the Canon Capital Technologies team in August 2018. A graduate of Regent University with a B.A. in Business, Elizabeth has worked in the areas of human resources, escrow, and compliance. Elizabeth works with us remotely from her office in Austin, Texas, where she enjoys spending time with her husband, reading, biking and traveling.

Stephanie Kazanjian

Senior Accountant

Stephanie joined Canon Capital in January 2017, bringing over 25 years of diversified experience in insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, and public accounting. She earned her B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University and an MBA in Accounting from St. Joseph’s University. Stephanie, her husband, and three children live in Harleysville where she enjoys reading, gardening, and playing the violin. She was recently elected Treasurer of the Indian Valley Public Library’s Foundation of Friends Committee and her family sponsors a child in Nairobi, Africa.

Ashley Hillman

Payroll Administrative Support

Ashley joined our Payroll team in December 2019, where she provides administrative support. A graduate of Montgomery County Community College and Temple University, Ashley brings her experience as a Finance & Insurance Manager at an auto dealer and as an Inheritance Specialist. In her free time, she recharges by reading, biking, or camping. Ashley lives in Telford with her husband and their two sons.

Margaret McCarthy

Client Relationship Associate

Margaret brings over 15 years of experience in public education and as a private coach, trainer, and educational consultant across numerous industries to her role on our Wealth Management team. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State University. In addition to a Graduate Certificate in Coaching and Mentorship and multiple Pennsylvania teaching certificates, she recently earned the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) designation. Margaret is a graduate of Souderton Area High School and now makes her home in Royersford with her husband and two children. Outside of work she enjoys cooking, gardening, walking her dog, and spending time with family and friends.

Philip Keeler

Shareholder

Phil started with Canon Capital in 2012.  Prior to Canon Capital, he held positions as a Cost Accounting Manager, Director of Administration/Assistant Secretary-Treasurer, Manager of Corporate Tax, and Corporate Secretary/Manager of Shareholders Services for a well-known local company.  He also has worked as a tax preparer for several CPA firms.  Phil has an Accounting degree from Peirce College and attended Philadelphia University.  In addition, he belongs to the National Society of Accountants, PA Society of Tax and Accounting Professionals, National Association of Tax Professionals, and Family Offices Group.  He is also involved with Indian Valley Faith Fellowship Church, Bucks-Mont Coalition for Evangelism, Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Hatfield Chamber of Commerce.  Phil lives in Harleysville with his wife and has three children and six grandchildren.  In Phil’s spare time, he enjoys playing softball, hunting, fishing, walking, hiking, working out at the gym, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Christopher M. McDonnell

Manager

Christopher joined Canon Capital in June 2021. He is a CPA with a wealth of public accounting experience. Christopher graduated from Immaculata University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is a member of AICPA and PICPA and currently serves as the treasurer of the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce. In his free time, you can find Christopher surfing, reading, or working on home improvement projects in the Pennsburg home he shares with his wife, Kaitlin, and son, Calvin.

 

Andre Leatherman

PC Networking Technician

Andre Leatherman has been working in the IT field, in help desk support and troubleshooting, since 2014. Andre joined the Canon team in February 2019 as a PC Networking Technician. He resides in Souderton where he enjoys spending time with his wife, their family, as well as playing piano, guitar, and drums, talents he frequently shares while volunteering on the worship team at Towamencin Mennonite Church.

Chuck Porter, Jr.

Shareholder, Co-Director of Wealth Management, Senior Investment Advisor

Chuck Porter, Jr., is the Co-Director of Wealth Management, serving alongside Co-Director Patricia Webb. In addition, he remains dedicated to serving clients as a Senior Investment Advisor, specializing in serving high-net-worth individuals and families. Chuck has been with Canon Capital since 2006 and was admitted to the company as a shareholder in 2018.  Chuck graduated from Widener University where he majored in Economics with an emphasis in Personal Financial Service. He has a Certificate in Financial Management for the Family Office from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management and he is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. Chuck is very involved in the community, especially investing in our youth as a coach. He is a member of the Souderton Area High School football coaching staff and serves on a national advisory committee for Pop Warner Football and Cheer. In addition to coaching youth football and basketball, he has served as a committee member for the Penn Foundation Autumn Event, president of the Indian Valley Chamber Community Leadership Institute Alumni Association, a member of the North Penn United Way Emerging Leadership Society, and as a team member on the Calvary Church Count Team. Chuck lives in Harleysville with his wife and their four sons. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports, playing on the Calvary Church softball team, biking, doing yard work, spending time at the beach or around the fire pit with family, and savoring life with four sons.

Steven Moyer

Shareholder & Director

Steve has been with Canon Capital since 1999 and has been practicing in public accounting for over 30 years. He received his BS in Accounting/Business Management with a minor in Psychology from Eastern Mennonite University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs (PICPA), the National College Advocacy Group and the AICPA Tax, Personal Financial Planning and the Forensic and Valuation Services sections. Steve specializes in personal and business tax, estate and trust tax planning and preparation, foreign tax issues, personal financial and college planning services, and business tax planning. He also has significant experience in church, non-profit, and private foundation tax areas. In addition to being a CPA, he also holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation, the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and the Certified Specialist in Estate Planning (CSEP) designation. Steve and his wife reside in Souderton. Steve has three children and enjoys traveling, playing sports, gardening, and bicycling.
